Some years ago a language teacher advised me to keep a diary as written English exercise. I decided instead to start this blog in order to pursue, at the same time, another fundamental objective: to express day by day what I think about everything (mainly complaints). Later on, I added a memory preserving function. Corrections, suggestions and comments are welcomed.

I am at Paris Orly waiting for my flight to Port au Prince.
Haiti has never been my preferred destination, but let’s wait to know something more.
I wear a striped shirt and heavy boots, ready to adventure.

You need to use the present continuous for description not the present simple:

I am wearing a striped shirt …
