abetone’s fantasia

Abetone is a local place, where the few foreign tourists are the Philippines coming for a first appointment with the snow.

Not a lot has changed since the first time I came, 37 years ago.

Most of the skiers come from Toscana, there is a lot of snow (not so during the last 10 years, though) and long and large slopes.

We stayed at a ‘rifugio’ connected by a chairlift: quiet life, only permanents, ‘shining’ atmosphere.
