As done in the past, a short note just to avoid a void. Actually I had a good subject and drafted a note on a piece of paper but cannot find it anymore.
And don’t remember what it was about. Ageing.

In Italy the left during the last 20 years was permanently looking for a shortcut to get to (and remain into) government.
The last in time is Mr. Renzi, who has got none of the characteristics a leader of the left faction should have, but seems to be the only one who can win.
Win to do what? The same policies?
The work of politics: building support in the country around a realistic but also inspiring political programme, is no more considered an option.
They want to win fast, and they are doomed to loose immediately after.

I am not very good in orienteering.  Therefore, when in a new place, I feel more comfortable if I have a map of the area.

Maybe for getting the right direction in one’s own life, it could be useful to draw a life map, indicating the landmarks,  the currents influencing the temperature, the lines indicating the highness etc.

Of course, it would be necessary to introduce elements from the past, but suitable solutions could certainly be found.

The aim could be identifying what is more important and making a distinction between milestones and pebbles.

In some way, that should not be too different from preparing an astral card, based on the position of the stars at the moment of birth.

Tegu is up and down, green hills and dirty buildings.  In the night is a fairy tale, as diving in the dark into a fireflies’ cloud. People are smiling, streets are meandering, notjing is as it seems to be.

In July 2005 I wrote a blog-note about a woman that put on fire the man who had agressed her daughter.
Now, after more than 7 years, the trial is concluded and the woman should enter the prison.

Now, every piece of legislation have to pass beforehand the control of a special commission, responsible for evaluating if that norms could in some way affect the interests of the center-right coalition’s leader.
Starting from the electoral law, to any possible reform in the justice sector, to tax related legislation.
It is worth it? What major national aims is this government targeting that could justify this shameful tactics?
And how long could this last? Just until definitively destroying any residual trust on the possibility of a government alternative in Italy.

 After several attempts of getting immunity through the demolition of the Italian judiciary system,  Mr B.  opted for another method.

 Unsatisfied for the impact of the many norms explicitly aiming at relieving his trial situation, he directly passed to the enablement of a Government whose first objective is to guarantee his own inviolability.

 I was always against the idea of getting rid of Mr B. via a judicial proceeding, but this does not mean that he should not be castigated for his crimes, if those are confirmed.

 Fact is, I cannot be sure that there was not a sort of agreement around this matter, and that is sincerely discouraging.

No way, in Italy to be premier you have to be a christian democrat or worse.

Even this time, when it seemed that a former communist could get the job, there was nothing to do.

Back to the DC time.

How disappointing.

Sunday at Bamako was not different from the days before and the following ones. Lot of meetings, some mangos, some thinking.

The founding act for the political militancy of the members of the Italian major party was the participation to the Vaffanculo Day some years ago.  Yes, that means what you are thinking of.

But this is not the most tragic element.  The worst is that those fresh members of Parliament are surely better than the previous ones.
